Faith and Life

To have faith is to defy logic. It takes faith to think positively. It takes faith to believe that there is a loving G-d who cares deeply about our pain. To believe in life, the universe, or yourself after numerous failures is to have courage. Faith is an act of courage. It is choosing to get up in the morning and face our fears and believe that G-d will help us. Faith is choosing to believe that even though we may have failed one hundred times before that we can succeed the next time.
Life is a lot of work. What is it that gives us the strength to continue when we are tired and burned out? Sometimes an inspirational idea can help us renew ourselves and be filled with strength to fulfill our life's purpose. Inspiration comes in many forms. However, the root of all inspiration is the idea that our lives are meaningful. Inspiration is knowing that what I do matters deeply to the universe. When you have the feeling that your actions are meaningful, you will become filled with strength and vigor to fulfill your life's purpose.

Life is the sum of experiences that we encounter as we go through life. Day to day struggles and triumphs are experienced by all of the world's creatures. As human beings, when we encounter a challenge, we have freedom to choose how to react. Every decision that we make leads us down a different road. We will never come to exactly the same crossroads. Every decision the we make has significance. The tiniest choice that we make reverberates throughout the entire universe.

Builders of Characters

We are builders of our own characters. We have different positions, spheres, capacities, privileges, different work to do in the world, different temporal fabrics to raise; but we are all alike in this, — all are architects of fate.
You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself one.
Be your character what it will, it will be known, and nobody will take it upon your word.
Reputation is what men and women think of us; character is what God and angels know of us.
Nothing of character is really permanent but virtue and personal worth.
The essential thing is not knowledge, but character.
It requires less character to discover the faults of others, than to tolerate them.
A fair reputation is a plant, delicate in its nature, and by no means rapid in its growth. It will not shoot up in a night like the gourd of the prophet; but, like that gourd, it may perish in a night.
Sow an act, and you reap a habit; sow a habit, and you reap a character; sow a character, and you reap a destiny.

Life

Many great people have come before us. Through their actions and through their words, they have inspired us to achieve our own greatness in life, to challenge the status quo, to reach for the stars and to overcome the gravest of hardships.

One of the great things about these quotes about life is that they can crystallize something you have been thinking about on your own. It can capture the very essence of a moment.
Take President John F. Kennedy's visionary inaugural address statement: "Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country." The call to greater service than self energized an entire nation, leading to a new age of social, cultural, economic and technological growth, including taking us to the moon and back by the end of the decade.

Quotes to live by can serve as important affirmations in our lives, reinforcing our thoughts on service, happiness, grief, excellence, commitment, quality, passion - any number of things that are part of the human experience.

For example, a life quote on not having regrets is captured beautifully by John Gardner: "Life is the art of drawing without an eraser."
In nine simple, elegant words, he paints with broad brush strokes the importance of having passion, about living life fully and without having any desire to change anything that transpires - it is a quote about life that is born from living it and expressing its lessons to others.

As you can see, life quotes can come in really handy in your own life. If you've ever been called on to speak, you know how important the right quote can be in setting the stage. It doesn't matter if you're speaking at commencement upon graduation, making a presentation to the local chamber or raising a toast as best man at your brother's wedding, the right quote of life can make or break an occasion.

So, how do you go about finding the perfect quote? In the old days, you had to make a trip to the library and sort through a bevy of books in the hopes of lucking out and finding one quote that could work. Nowadays there's the Internet, and even if you only know a snippet of a quote or the name of its originator, you can use search strings to find it quickly and easily.

There's no right or wrong Quote about Life, of course. They can be very personal and meaningful, if only to you. They can serve as the point of a compass to guide you in your own life or be used as the opener, and even a showstopper, in a speech.

In fact, that is one of the best uses for a quote on life. While it can be hard, if not impossible, for the ordinary person - or even an experienced writer - to capture the theme or essence of a speech or presentation - the right quote can do it quickly and effectively. It can save you hours of toying with words or stressing over the empty page that is before you, deadline looming.

Imagine if you opened with a line like, "The only mistake in life is the lesson not learned," by Albert Einstein, and then launched into recollections of your own life and how others can learn lessons from it, not only trying to motivate yourself but motivate others with Motivational Quotes.

Or perhaps, adding some levity to a reception toast with, "All marriages are happy. It's living together afterward s that is difficult." ...Funny Quotes. Just be sure you go on to explain to the new bride and groom - along with their glaring family - that they have obviously found the secret to making it look easy.

As you see, the right quotes about life can really capture a moment. It can take you out of a tight spot when you're called upon to speak. It can help lift you out of a moment of despair. It can inspire you to achieve greatness. And it can propel you forward in life, knowing that others who have come before you have already tread in your shoes, showing you the way through their enduring words.

Enthusiasm and Excitement

“The real secret of success is enthusiasm. Yes, more than enthusiasm, I would say is excitement. I like to see people get excited. When they get excited, they make a success of their lives. You can do anything if you have enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eye, it is the swing in your gait, the grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of your will and your energy to execute your ideas. Enthusiasts are fighters. They have fortitude, they have staying qualities. Enthusiasm is at the bottom of all progress. With it, there is accomplishment. Without it, there are only alibis.”

Friend And Acquaintance

There is a difference between being an acquaintance and being a friend. An acquaintance is someone whose name you know, who you see every now and then, who you probably have something in common with and who you feel comfortable around.
It's a person that you can invite to your home and share things with. But they are people who you don't share your life with, whose actions sometimes you don't understand because you don't know enough about them. On the other hand, a friend is someone you love. Not that you are "in love" with them, but you care about them and you think about them when they are not there. The people you are reminded of when you see something they might like, and you know this because you know them so well. They are the people whose pictures you have and whose faces are in your head regardless.
Friends are the people you feel safe around because you know they care about you. They call just to see how you are doing, because a friend doesn't need an excuse. They tell you the truth, the first time, and you do the same. You know that if you have a problem, they are there to listen.
Friends are the people who won't laugh at you or hurt you, and if they do hurt you they try hard to make it up to you. They are the people you love, regardless of whether you realize it.
Friends are the people you cried with when you got rejected from colleges and during the last song at the prom and at graduation. They are the people that when you hug them, you don't think about how long to hug and who's going to be the first one to let go.
Maybe they are the people that hold the rings at your wedding, or maybe they are the people who give you away at your wedding, or maybe they are the people you marry. Maybe they are the people who cry at your wedding because they are happy or because they are proud.
They are the people who stop you from making mistakes and help you when you do. They are are the people whose hand you can hold, or you can hug or give them a kiss and not have it be awkward because they understand the things you do and they love you for them.
They stick with you and stand by you. They hold your hand. They watch you live and you watch them live and you learn from them. Your life is not the same without them.

Beauty and Love

Whenever Beauty looks,
Love is also there;

Whenever beauty shows a rosy cheek
Love lights Her fire from that flame.

When beauty dwells in the dark folds of night
Love comes and finds a heart entangled in tresses.

Beauty and Love are as body and soul.
Beauty is the mine, Love is the diamond.
They have together

since the beginning of time-
Side by side, step by step.

Build a Box of Friendship

Into a box of friendship
To insure that it is strong
First a layer of respect
On the bottom does belong
Then to the sides attach
In the corners where they meet
Several anchors full of trust
Devoid of all deceit
The height of friendship can be measured
By the sides of four
So make them all a larger cut
And the box will hold much more
Now fill it up with courtesy
Honor and esteem
Understanding, sympathy
And passion for a dream
Add to that your honesty
Emotions joy and love
And since they're so important
Place them up above
But leave the box wide open
So all can see inside
To learn what makes a friendship work
From the box you built with pride

Control of Your Heart

A wise and understanding heart does not repay a hurt with a hurt. In doing so, the heart is diminished. Fissures form. Love leaks out. Every pain given in return for one received, changes the contents of the heart. It is no longer defined by love, wisdom and understanding. It is redefined by the bearers of hurt and hate, pain and prejudice, meanness and madness, sorrow and sadness. You give away control of your very own heart.
The despair of being hurt is healed by overcoming it, not clinging to the hurt and inflicting more of it on the world. When darkness is added to darkness, no one can see, no one can love. Everyone loses.
Love is not always warm and fuzzy. Sometimes it's the integrity we hold on to when we're tempted to strike back. Sometimes it's the honor that keeps us from exchanging the valuable contents of our heart for the harsh satisfaction of lashing back.
No, the way of love is not always easy, but when night falls, dawn is assured.
The integrity and honor of a wise and understanding heart, rises with the sun of a new day.
"Because you have asked for understanding to discern judgment. I have given you a wise and understanding heart." 1 Kings 3:11-12

Trees That Wood

Once there were three trees on a hill in the woods. They were discussing their hopes and dreams when the first tree said, "Someday I hope to be a treasure chest. I could be filled with gold, silver and precious gems. I could be decorated with intricate carving and everyone would see the beauty." Then the second tree said, "Someday I will be a mighty ship. I will take kings and queens across the waters and sail to the corners of the world. Everyone will feel safe in me because of the strength of my hull."
Finally the third tree said, "I want to grow to be the tallest and straightest tree in the forest. People will see me on top of the hill and look up to my branches, and think of the heavens and God and how close to them I am reaching. I will be the greatest tree of all time and people will always remember me."
After a few years of praying that their dreams would come true, a group of woodsmen came upon the trees. When one came to the first tree he said, "This looks like a strong tree, I think I should be able to sell the wood to a carpenter" ... and he began cutting it down. The tree was happy, because he knew that the carpenter would make him into a treasure chest.
At the second tree a woodsman said, "This looks like a strong tree, I should be able to sell it to the shipyard." The second tree was happy because he knew he was on his way to becoming a mighty ship.
When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the tree was frightened because he knew that if they cut him down his dreams would not come true. One of the woodsmen said, "I don't need anything special from my tree so I'll take this one", and he cut it down.
When the first tree arrived at the carpenters, he was made into a feed box for animals. He was then placed in a barn and filled with hay. This was not at all what he had prayed for. The second tree was cut and made into a small fishing boat. His dreams of being a mighty ship and carrying kings had come to an end. The third tree was cut into large pieces and left alone in the dark. The years went by, and the trees forgot about their dreams.
Then one day, a man and woman came to the barn. She gave birth and they placed the baby in the hay in the feed box that was made from the first tree. The man wished that he could have made a crib for the baby, but this manger would have to do. The tree could feel the importance of this event and knew that it had held the greatest treasure of all time. Years later, a group of men got in the fishing boat made from the second tree. One of them was tired and went to sleep. While they were out on the water, a great storm arose and the tree didn't think it was strong enough to keep the men safe. The men woke the sleeping man, and he stood and said "Peace" and the storm stopped. At this time, the tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings in its boat.
Finally, someone came and got the third tree. It was carried through the streets as the people mocked the man who was carrying it. When they came to a stop, the man was nailed to the tree and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill. When Sunday came, the tree came to realize that it was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill and be as close to God as was possible, because Jesus had been crucified on it.
The moral of this story is that when things don't seem to be going your way, always know that God has a plan for you. If you place your trust in Him, He will give you great gifts. Each of the trees got what they wanted, just not in the way they had imagined. We don't always know what God's plans are for us. We just know that His ways are not our ways, but His ways are always best.

REDEFINING HUMAN

How often do you say or hear other people say “Well, we’re human..” or “That’s just what people do.” as justification for certain behaviors? Do you ever question such comments?

"Today is a day to evaluate and, perhaps, readjust your personal definition of being human."

You are an amazing creature. You can be whatever you want to be. The only things that can stop you are your own beliefs about yourself and that is not intended in a corny, self-help sort of way.

For example, you may have heard the claim that we are not meant to be with one person for our entire lives and it’s not logical to expect someone to be faithful forever. That is their belief and their choice. And yet, there are those who do fall in love once and make it last a lifetime. That is their belief and their choice.

You may have heard someone justify anothers' violent outburst by claiming, “They’re human. Anyone would be angry in that situation.” And yet, there are those who are able to remain peaceful and in control of themselves at all times.

Are those people not human? Of course they are! But they have a different perception of what it means to be human.
Challenge your definition of humanity today.

... Does this definition allow you to become the greatest version of yourself?

... Does it make you proud to be a member of this species?

Before you go to sleep tonight, create a new definition of yourself, what you want to be and believe, however grand it may seem.

Have a human day!

DESTINY THEY SAY !

  • You are today where your thoughts have brought you; you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you.
  • Serendipity. Look for something, find something else, and realize that what you've found is more suited to your needs than what you thought you were looking for.
  • It's choice - not chance - that determines your destiny.
  • Dreams are like stars...you may never touch them, but if you follow them they will lead you to your destiny.
  • There is no such thing as chance; and what seem to us merest accident springs from the deepest source of destiny.
  • Control your destiny or somebody else will.
  • Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny
  • Actions are the seed of fate deeds grow into destiny.
  • Our destiny changes with our thought; we shall become what we wish to become, do what we wish to do, when our habitual thought corresponds with our desire.
  • It is a mistake to try to look too far ahead. The chain of destiny can only be grasped one link at a time.
  • Thoughts lead on to purposes; purposes go forth in action; actions form habits; habits decide character; and character fixes our destiny.

POEM

A Wish

I lie on the ground,
and stare into space,
the stars start to move,
into the shape of your face.

I see you there now,
looking down at me,
with that cute little smile,
that I like to see.

You say "close your eyes",
"tell me what you see",
I see only two people,
just you and me.

We're walking the shoreline,
with our feet getting wet,
the horizon turns pink,
as the sun starts to set.
Oh I wish I could be,
in that one special place,
as I lie on the ground,
and I stare into space...

Happy Valentine !!!

Don’t wait until it’s too late
to tell someone how much you love,
how much you care.
Because when they’re gone,
no matter how loud you shout and cry,
they won’t hear you anymore.

HOW TO FACE LIFE CHALLENGES

Many people are not successful in their life because they are not willing to start small. They expect their beginning has to be grand and spectacular. So they are not willing to do small things faithfully. They are not willing to do or start anything small and they are not willing to make a small step in their life toward their dreams and goals. Let's put it this way, when we are faithful to do small things, we will be faithful to do the big things.
People who can be trusted with small things tend to be that kind of people who can be trusted with the big things. What ever we do with $1 bill, we will do the same thing with $ 1 million. If we abuse our $1, we will tend to abuse the $1 million.
We were once babies, the first day we were born, we couldn't feed ourselves, we didn't run up and down the stairs, and we couldn't even change our own diapers. Our parents or caretakers were the ones who fed us, changed our diapers, gave us a bath and taught us how to stand and walk.
I remember the day my baby girl was born; we had to feed her milk every day, 4 to 8 times a day, changed her diapers, and we were excited to watch her growing and learning how to stand, talk and walk.
The excitement in your life comes from the fact that we see a sign of progress in your life. When you feel like you are progressing in your life, that's when you feel happy and excited! That's why it is important to set a new goal after we achieve our previous goal. We went through a process of growing, from small to big and from big to bigger and bigger.
We learned how to stand with our feet, then walk, and then run! Before our parents had to feed us and changed our diapers, today, when you are hungry, you can eat by yourself and even go to the bathroom by yourself when it is necessary to do so.
So don't be too hard on yourself when things are not going as fast as you want them to be and don't give up on life when you fail in pursuing your dreams and goals. A little progress is better than nothing at all. It is very important to keep learning and growing every day. I want to end this article by reading you a Bible verse that comes from Isaiah chapter 43:2-3
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD, your God..." So be willing to start small. Learn more, study more and grow more. You can do it!
